Student Council
The Field School Student Council is a service organization that supports our school and community.
It is open to all students who are willing to make the yearlong commitment. Rather than holding elections to choose officers, the student leaders of this organization are eighth graders who make up the Executive Board. These student volunteers earn their positions through service hours as sixth and seventh graders.
Our Student Council fulfills a number of duties during the school year. We serve the school by planning functions such as school socials, holiday activities, and school spirit days. Our community benefits from charitable contributions resulting from fundraisers planned by our students. The Executive Board meets weekly to plan upcoming events and to explore new ways to keep our students active and involved at Field School. General meetings are held every two weeks or as needed to complete activities related to upcoming events.
Many students from all three grade levels choose to participate in Student Council. It is through their commitment and leadership that this organization remains integral to the culture of our school community.
